Karen Kaestle and Marian Bairstow shepherd a round of rafts down the Pattaconk Brook as part of the Chester Land Trust’s Huckleberry Finn raft-building event on May 1. The land trust event, which invited participants to build a raft out of recyclable materials, ran alongside the Chester Merchants’ May Daze event.
