Breakfast Tradition in Essex This Weekend

The First Congregational Church in Essex, is sponsoring a May Breakfast on Saturday, May 9 from 6:30  to 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Church, 6 Methodist Hill in Essex. The breakfast is a tradition that dates back nearly one hundred years at the church. Proceeds benefit the Essex Community Fund, as well as the missions of the church.

A complete breakfast will be prepared  including pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice and homemade muffins.

There will be a selection of “May Baskets” up for bid or outright purchase, including a Mother’s Day Basket, Italian Dinner Basket, Breakfast/Kitchen Basket and Gardener’s Basket, among others.

The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the door.
