North Haven Middle School Volunteers Honored by CAS

Principal Philip Piazza of North Haven Middle School (NHMS), along with assistant principals Marge Dolan and Paul Castiglione, are pictured here with PTSA board members Susan Kissel, Mara Malafronte, Pam Begin, Hannah Jacob, and Julie Bossenberry as they were honored at the recent Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Volunteer Banquet at the Aqua Turf Club. CAS proudly celebrates this event annually to publicly acknowledge the work of parents and other volunteers for their contributions to schools across the state.

This year’s NHMS volunteers are being honored for their efforts as the governing body of the Parent-Teacher-Student Association. Their efforts in fundraising and providing for the students and families of NHMS have been outstanding. Whether it is at Barnes & Noble, Chipotle, or Subway - the volunteers are always there. When kids want to extend their learning through field trips or show their school spirit by getting the latest in North Haven gear, the PTSA is always there. The time and energy this year’s honorees have given to NHMS is unparalleled and extremely appreciated by the entire NHMS community. On behalf of the students and faculty of the school, the volunteers are thanked for all they have done, and will continue to do, for NHMS. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
