Get the Details on Guilford’s Nick Fradiani Day

Nick Fradiani arrives in Guilford in style

The town of Guilford is preparing to honor American Idol contestant Nick Fradiani, Jr., with a Friday, May 1 parade, rally, and concert on the Green.

On last night’s episode of American Idol, Fradiani and his fans learned he’d made it into the top 4.

The parade to the Guilford Green starts at 3 p.m. at Rollwood Park on Stonehouse Lane across from The Henry Whitfield Museum, then will proceed up Whitfield Street to the Green.

At 4 p.m., Fradiani will perform a free Concert on the Green and will be joined on stage and perform with his band, Beach Avenue, and also his father, Nick Fradiani. Sr. Renee DeNino of 105.9 FM (The River) will emcee the concert.

There will be no shuttle buses provided for the event. Parking, however, is available within walking distance.

Fradiani has a strong base of local support. In addition to his Guilford roots (he’s a Guilford High School alum), he grew up in East Haven, where he attended Momauguin School as an elementary student. While living in East Haven, Fradiani attended St. Mary’s in Branford during his middle school years.

Residents from all towns are welcomed to the May 1 Guilford celebration.
