Exchange Club Easter Egg Hunt a Success

The Exchange Club of Madison recently held its rescheduled 51st annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Madison Surf Club. Under sunny skies and 5- to 10-mile-per-hour breezes, all participants arrived between 9 and 9:30 a.m., with the official starting time of 10 a.m. sharp observed at the sound of the Madison Fire Engine siren.

As always, the special guest of honor was the Easter Bunny, who met and greeted all of his fans (i.e. the children up to and including 2nd graders). Although the ground was moist, at the end of the hunt only grass and a few weeds could be seen all the way up to the beach and Long Island Sound.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt is one of the six major events sponsored annually by the Exchange Club of Madison for the benefit of the entire community. As is the case of all Madison Exchange Club’s fundraising projects, nearly half of its proceeds go towards aiding in the all-important cause of preventing child abuse… a unique distinction of the Exchange Club amongst community service organizations.
