Suspect Sought in Guilford Bank Robbery


Guilford police are seeking a suspect in a robbery at the Guilford Webster Bank branch at 1069 Boston Post Road at 3:20 p.m. today.

Security photos show a lone black male in his mid 30s, about 5'8" to 5'9", entering the bank lobby at 3:17 p.m. with placed black clothing over the lower half of his face and over the nose. He was wearing an oversized gray hoodie sweatshirt, new darker blue denim jeans, an orange or yellow flat brimmed baseball cap, and black and orange sneakers. 

Employees and witnesses in the bank reported that walked into the bank and went directly to the tellers demanding money. Bank employees reported an active bank robbery; Guilford Police responded to the alarm. 

Police report the suspect left out the front of the bank and walked around to the back parking lot.  A witness in the parking lot reported the black male entering a white SUV and leave in an unknown direction.
