Ice-Cold Buckets of ALS Support at BHS

That’s ice cube-cold water dousing (l-r) Branford High School (BHS) Assistant Principal Joseph Briganti, Principal Lee Panagoulias, Assistant Principal Anna Puglia and Dean of Students Dianne Dadio, as they simultaneously take the ALS Ice Bucket challenge on the school field Aug. 20.

In addition to supporting ALS in a way that’s gone viral, Panagoulias noted the administrators were also honoring the memory of Paul Sturgess, a BHS alumnus, Branford Sports Hall of Fame athlete, local business leader and philanthropist who lost his battle with ALS in 2012, at age 52.

The four BHS administrators named other members of the BHS community as well as family and friends to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge next (find out who they are by viewing their challenge video, including this bucket-dumping scene, set to be posted soon at www.branfordhigh.org).
