Westbrook Seniors Staying Fit


Senior exercise classes are offered at the Westbrook Senior Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:15 and 9:15 a.m. The class began in May after moving from its previous site in Old Saybrook. Student Ethel Hanks said, "It makes all the difference in the world," and Roy Black lost 15 pounds. Instructor Caren Appleby said there is also a social aspect-group students often go out for coffee after class. Here, Rita DiNoia, left, and Rose Ball do bent-over row exercises.
