Puppy Love at Dog Days Adoption Event

Ashley Weaver and Frankie Maloney hold Pam, a pit bull puppy, at Red Dog Project's adoption event held Feb. 22 in Old Saybrook at the Tractor Supply Company. Red Dog Project, part of Dog Days Adoption Events, is a new endeavor that operates inside York Correctional Institution, teaching inmates how to raise dogs and to also create a more humane environment in the prison. Nine dogs raised by inmates, including five puppies, were at the event.
