Budget Referendum -- Vote Today

Polling places are open today from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to allow Madison electors to vote on the town and education budgets.

Polling places are:        

District 1, Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road

District 2, Robert H. Brown Middle School, 980 Durham Road

The exact wording of the two questions is below:

 “SHALL THE TOWN GOVERNMENT BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF MADISON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2012 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2013 IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,217,817 BE APPROVED?”

“SHALL THE EDUCATION BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF MADISON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2012 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2013 IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,658,827 BE APPROVED?”

Voters approving a resolution will vote “Yes” and those opposing said resolution will vote “No.”
