Clinton Selectmen Candidates Discuss the Issues

In the Nov. 8 municipal elections, the electorate will have the opportunity to vote for two Board of Selectmen candidates for the five-member board, which will seat the top vote-getter of the first selectman’s race and the top four vote-getters among the selectmen and unsuccessful first selectman candidate (with a minimum of two minority candidates winning seats).

Selectmen Dolly Mezzetti and Tom Vicino were endorsed by the Democratic Town Committee for the Board of Selectmen seats and for the GOP, Kimberly Neri Simoncini and John Giannotti will seek a spot on the board.

Democrats Mezzetti said she admires Fritz’s commitment to the town and his enthusiasm for getting things done.

“I think Willie has led the town in a positive direction,” said Mezzetti, who has been involved in Clinton politics since 1987. “These are dire economic times and we continue to move forward.”
