In the July 14 Issue: Kokoruda Resigns from Board of Selectmen

Selectman Noreen Kokoruda officially resigned her long-held post Monday afternoon. In a special election in February, Kokoruda was elected state representative from the 101st District, which includes Madison and north Guilford. She has been serving in both posts since.

It was an emotional moment for Noreen Kokoruda. She was leaving a job she loved. She had handed First Selectman Fillmore McPherson her formal letter of resignation from the Board of Selectmen.

Since late February, she has been serving as both a Madison selectman and the state representative from the 101st District. On Monday, she resigned as selectman after almost 14 years in that role.
