Ten teens and three adult leaders will leave Chester, Deep River and Essex July 2 to travel to El Salvador on a humanitarian mission trip to work in the villages surrounding the capital city of San Salvador.

Jane Moen, one of the adult leaders, explained, "El Salvador is a developing country where 60 percent of the population live on less than $2 per day. The poverty and inhumane living conditions are the direct result of a 13-year civil war; natural disasters including massive hurricanes, flooding and mudslides; and a harsh military rule. The 10 teen team members have been preparing for the experience since last October."
