Neighborhood Dispute Ends in Arrest for Two Men


Guilford police responded to the area of State and Broad streets on a report fight between two men.

When officers arrived they found Leighton Jillson, 58, had sustained a minor stab wound to his left forearm that was inflicted by Ronald Solters, 60.The knife used by Solters was recovered and both men were arrested. Jillson was arrested on counts of second degree assault, third degree criminal mischief, and breach of peace. Solters was arrested for third degree assault and breach of peace.

The incident was a result of a neighbor property dispute between the two men. Solter sustained lacerations to his face as a result of the two men fighting. Both men refused medical treatment at the scene by Guilford EMS and later processed on the related charges.

Both men were released on a promise to appear and given court dates in early May for their arraignments.
