Daniel Reinhardsen are the recipients of the SARAH Family of Agencies' Lifelong Achievement Awards. These awards recognize individuals whose lifelong work has significantly contributed to the mission and core values of SARAH. This award recognizes extraordinary service and outstanding dedication to SARAH. Each honoree was presented with the Lifelong Achievement Award in a ceremony with his or her family members. In 1957, these families came together in frustration and determination to discover a way to give their children with intellectual disabilities a chance to live fulfilling lives. Each family contributed $2 and a vision of an organization flexible enough to address the changing needs of all individuals with intellectual and other disabilities. From these humble beginnings, SARAH has grown to a family of agencies—SARAH Foundation, SARAH Inc., SARAH SENECA, and SARAH Tuxis—that assist hundreds of people with intellectual and other disabilities throughout Connecticut.
