Leahy At The Kate

The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, “the Kate,” 300 Main Street, Old Saybrook, welcomes Canadian powerhouse Celtic music group Leahy on Thursday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Leahy is one of Canada’s most renowned musical families. To date, they have sold more than half a million albums worldwide and achieved double platinum status in their home country. Their impressive list of awards includes three JUNOs which is Canada’s equivalent of the Grammy’s.

Leahy’s latest album, Good Water, was produced by Grammy Award-winning David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Smashing Pumpkins, Afro-Celt Sound System). Together, Bottrill and Leahy created a sonic tapestry that fused their Celtic roots with elements of choral, classical, rock, country, and pop music. With Bottrill’s touch, Good Water shines light on the band’s continuous evolution and deep reservoir of musical offerings.
