02/29/2024 12:00 AMBooks By The Sea will return to R.J. Julia Booksellers, 768 Boston Post Road, Madison, on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6. Attendees will get a chance to discuss new fiction titles and spend time with bestselling authors Lisa Scottoline and Adelle Waldman.
The events run from 3 p.m. on Friday to a send-off party on Saturday that includes refreshments. Tickets for Books by the Sea weekend are $160 per person and include admission to exclusive Books by the Sea events, including Books on the Menu with your choice of sandwich; premier seating at the Lisa Scottoline event, with a hardcover edition of The Truth about the Devlins; premier seating at the Adelle Waldman event, with a hardcover edition of Help Wanted; an ARC for the book club discussion workshop (sent via USPS or available for pick-up in advance); and a tote bag filled with surprises.
Local overnight accommodations are available at Scranton Seahorse Inn, 818 Boston Post Road, Madison, which is near the bookstore. Those who mention they're attending RJ Julia's Books by the Sea weekend will receive 10% off a one-night stay or a 20% discount for guests who stay Friday and Saturday night. A discounted rate is also available at the Madison Beach Hotel, 94 West Wharf Road, Madison, on Long Island Sound.
