This is a fairy tale that was started by Mark Twain more than a hundred years ago and has now been finished by Caldecott Medal winners Philip Stead and Erin Stead. It is a charming tale about a poor boy named Johnny who receives some seeds from a kind woman. These magical seeds enable Johnny to speak with animals and he is sent on an adventure to find a stolen prince. The illustrations that accompany this tale are wonderful and add much to the story. This is a special book to be shared with your favorite young reader. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.
