Wild About Wildflowers at Wildlife Refuge
The Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge will host a Wild About Wildflowers walk on Sunday, May 21 at 10 a.m., at the refuge, 733 Old Clinton Rd., Westbrook
Each spring the woods and fields of New England fill up with colorful wildflowers such as wild geranium, jack in the pulpit, Canada mayflower, and others. This easy, one-hour walk with plant biologist Kris Vagos will feature native wildflowers along the trails of Salt Meadow. Participants will also receive a growing pot and native wildflower seeds to plant at home.
