I first met Devin Carney several years ago when he knocked on my door during his campaign. I knew then that he was just the type of person we deserve to have representing us in the state legislature. He had a clear grasp of the issues and showed me that he truly cared about our community. Having gotten to know him better over the years, I am pleased to say that my intuition was correct, and he has lived up to my initial impression.

Devin continues to care about people’s quality of life and their ability to live, work, start a family, and retire in our community. He has consistently pushed to reduce the cost of living here, whether it’s taxes, groceries, or electricity. Devin’s main focus has always been how to make things easier for us.

He has also been a stalwart supporter of our small towns. He knows that the best decisions on our local government and local public schools are made at the town level. Devin has consistently worked to stop large government mandates that would disrupt our lives and weaken our education. He even received the Connecticut Council of Small Towns’ “own Crier Award” for his efforts in supporting the small towns in the 23rd District.

Devin is the real deal for us and I hope you will join me in supporting him in his re-election. I knew I made the right vote that first time, and I look forward to doing the same again in November.
