Has the Vision
I am writing in support of Jane Wisialowski for state representative from the 23rd District. It is time for our district to be represented by someone who has the necessary passion and capability to get things done. Not only is Jane a 25-year resident of Old Saybrook, but she has committed herself to a number of volunteer efforts around town, culminating in her election to the Parks and Recreation Commission in 2021 and, most recently, to the Old Saybrook Board of Education last year.
Jane’s commitment to finding ways to make the lives of seniors living in the district and statewide better is important given the aging population in the district’s towns. Old Saybrook has one of the oldest populations in the State. How we support our seniors and ensure their quality of life, whether they live at home, in a nursing home, or move to a more affordable space, will be critically important in the years ahead.
Many of the policies that we have taken for granted over the last 50 years are now under attack at the federal level. It is important that states remain resolute in their stand in protecting the reproductive rights of women, among other issues. Jane has made this a critical component of her candidacy, in contrast to her opponent.
After having had a back bencher caretaker representing our district for the last 10 years, let’s elect someone who has the vision to see what needs to be done, and the passion to make sure it happens. Please join me in voting for Jane Wisialowski this November.
