A Unique Opportunity

The shoreline towns and surrounding areas have a unique opportunity to experience a critically acclaimed one-act play, Death By a Thousand Cuts: A Requiem for Black and Brown Men. This play is written and directed by award-winning screenwriter Steve Driffin and has been performed in sold-out venues in Connecticut and off-Broadway in New York City. It is presented by four professional actors, all men of color, and draws from the joy, pain, and trauma that melanated men encounter in America. Black and Brown men have historically, and currently are still, silent about the pain they endure. This is a requiem 400 years in the making.

This event is free thanks to individual patrons and a matching grant from SustainableCT.

A number of shoreline groups have come together to make this evening possible, including the Clinton Arts Council, the Henry Carter Hull Library, the Clinton Human Rights Committee, Indaba, and M.A.D.
