A Great Day

Sunday, March 3, was a beautiful day, a day in which Guilford Racket & Swim Club hosted the 5th annual Paddle for a Purpose Tournament, a benefit for the Guilford Meals on Wheels program. Meals on Wheels would like to thank all the 20 players for coming out to play and for the following businesses for their generous spirit: Dunkin Donuts (Frank D'Andrea, owner) pepped us up with coffee, tea, and munchkins in the morning; Physical Therapy Specialists (Paul Bauer, owner) treated everyone one to a delicious lunch, and Two Roads Brewers donated lots of refreshing beverages in the afternoon.

The following businesses/individuals were kind to donate raffle items and or prizes: Mr. J's Asian Bistro, Massage Savvy, Legacy Theatre, Ballou's Restaurant & Wine Bar, Pasta Vita, Pa's Place, Oasis Nail Salon, Kiernan Photography, Pages Hardware, Lela & Matts Car Care Clinic, Chamard Vineyard, Jersey Mikes, Kamana Indian Cuisine, Center Yoga & Wellness, Racquet Koop, On the Go Car Detailing (Joey Mirrione owner), Level Up Fitness, Lesley Wagner, Pam Welsh, Mark Mackowiak, and artists Michael Crampton, & Linda Westgard.

We also extend our thanks to Sarah Boone, club owner, for hosting the tournament five years in a row. It was a great day, thanks to all.
