Can’t Thank Enough

Guilford Interfaith Volunteers would like to thank First Selectman Matt Hoey and The Guilford Foundation team for the support given to our non-profit as part of the distribution of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. We would also like to thank The Guilford Foundation for placing such importance on the non-profits in our community and recognizing the critical services that we all provide. Our organization lost the ability to host numerous fundraisers during the COVID years, and during that same time, Meals on Wheels never missed a day of delivery. We truly appreciate being among the 34 non-profits to be supported; we are certainly in good company.

These funds will be instrumental in helping Charlie’s Closet create a more efficient and productive working environment for its volunteers. It will help Meals on Wheels cope with the difficult inflationary environment, and it will also assist the Guilford Food Bank with purchasing necessary food items and maintenance of the food bank building. We can’t thank all parties enough for this support; the funds have allowed us to make significant improvements across all our programs and will help us live up to our motto of Neighbor Helping Neighbor.”
