At an Alarming Rate

Trees are being cut down on many streets throughout Madison at an alarming rate. Not only did Eversource embark on a fear campaign about potentially losing power as their motive, but as usual, there seems to be no concern from town planners as to how much nature is destroyed as long as everyone gets what they want, which typically means revenue of some kind. Thankfully, there are dedicated citizens who support the Madison Land Trust as they desperately try to secure green space for our delicate seaside home.

Trees are extremely essential to our ecosystem's sustainability. Not only do they provide shelter and food for countless necessary species, but they absorb water, excess water. They cool the earth and are a beauty to behold in all seasons. Everyone made a promise before we came to this planet to heal our wounds — take care of her at all costs.
