Good citizenship can, in part, be defined as the role we fulfill as neighbors and volunteers. As a 30-year resident and active volunteer in Chester, I am excited and proud to write in support of the Democratic candidates running in our municipal election this year. First selectman candidate Cindy Lignar and selectman candidate Pat Bandzes are the “real deal”. They are the leaders we need in our town, as Lignar and Bandzes have the professional experience and proven records in strategic planning and project management, and both serve on various town committees. A key focus of theirs is to improve town communication and collaboration with all residents

Michael Jordan is a respected incumbent candidate on the Board of Finance who deserves our support. He is the chief operating officer of 1/ST Technology with many years of experience in finance, business infrastructure, administration, and technology. Jordan has demonstrated he has the required knowledge and skills to develop and scrutinize our municipal budget.

Justin Kronholm will be a great addition as an alternate on the Board of Finance. I have known Justin for almost 20 years. He has the unique knowledge and experience that exemplifies the values required of a Board of Finance member. He is currently the senior advisor for Attorney General Tong and has been the senior advisor for the former two CT attorney generals. He previously served on Chester’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Jordan and Kronholm and fellow Board of Finance candidates Roger Labrecque, Debra Vilcheck, and John Connelly all have the financial experience to protect our tax mill rate and guarantee our economic security.

All of the democratic candidates running for office care deeply for our community, its financial health, infrastructure needs, public safety, health, and wellbeing. They share our town’s core values. Please join me; vote Row A on Tuesday, Nov. 7!
