Return These Dedicated Public Servants

Attention Madison voters: on Tuesday, Nov. 7, we have the opportunity to elect two sets of dynamic duos to our municipal boards in Scott Murphy and Al Goldberg to the Board of Selectmen and John Picard and Bob Donahue to the Board of Finance.

Scott Murphy and Al Goldberg have long served on the Board of Selectmen with distinction, integrity, and cooperative bipartisan efforts. Both have been and continue to be involved with community liaison and community service activities. They have well earned their stripes and deserve to be re-elected.

John Picard and Bob Donahue both bring experience in municipal government, plus municipal and private finance, to the table. John was the mayor of West Haven and has ably served as chair of the Madison Board of Finance for the past two years. Bob previously served on the Durham Board of Finance for six years, focusing on collaboration, and was, in fact, elected as chair even though he was in the minority party. Both of these individuals have had successful careers in the financial services sector, and both remain active in a variety of community affairs and volunteer service.

Let's return these dedicated public servants to elected positions that they well deserve. Vote Row A straight across the ticket on Nov. 7.
