Ensure She Can Continue Her Work

Much has been written in this column about Peggy Lyons’s unprecedented accomplishments as first selectwoman of Madison. After years of gridlock and indecision, Peggy has driven fast-forward movement on multiple key projects, secured over $13 million in outside grants and funding, and has improved and increased town services and efficiency despite the extra challenge of the pandemic.

These achievements are no coincidence; rather, they are the direct result of Peggy’s vision, professional expertise in finance and business, energy, organization, and extraordinary leadership abilities. Throughout her tenure, Peggy has encouraged constituents to voice their concerns and preferences, has listened intently to understand them, and then incorporated those ideas and priorities into town policies and plans, all of which have driven bi-partisan support and decisions.

Such a talented and skilled person as Peggy is rare, and Madison is extremely fortunate for her dedication and willingness to serve our town. It’s now up to us to get to the polls to ensure she can continue her work. Please join me in voting for Peggy Lyons on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
