Continue to Make a Postive Impact

We are proud to endorse Seth Klaskin for re-election to the Madison Public Schools (MPS) Board of Education (BOE). Seth has 15 years of experience serving on the BOE. Since 2021, he has done an outstanding job in the chairperson role.

The most recent years have been extremely difficult in navigating the many challenges facing MPS, especially those stemming from the aftermath effects of the COVID-19 crisis. Seth has been an extremely passionate and dedicated person while serving on the board. He is completely devoted to ensuring that the MPS system maintains a high quality of education and safety for our children. Seth has been a champion of fostering teamwork for the board to successfully address all of the complex challenges and to ensure that positive outcomes for our students and faculty are accomplished.

Under his leadership, Seth has been highly influential and focused on many important issues, including a safe and supportive school environment, mental health support availability for both students and teachers, substantially improving standardized test scores, and returning MPS to the top tier of test results within our District Reference Group, moderating the school budget increases, establishing a future vision for MPS via the Schools Renewal Plan, hiring of a new athletic director and a focus on sportsmanship that has returned the CIAC Michaels Cup for Sportsmanship award to Madison, overseeing the maintenance of the MPS curriculum development model, and having rich professional development opportunities for our teachers. Seth has served as the BOE’s Liaison to the New School Building Committee. He continues to attend the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) leadership conferences.

It is vital to the students, faculty, and parents of Madison that Seth Klaskin be reelected to the BOE so that he can continue to make a positive impact.
