The Right Person for the Job

I am writing to express my support for Kathryn “Katie” Russell, who is running for first selectwoman of Deep River. I have served with Katie on the Deep River Library Board of Trustees, and I have witnessed her integrity and dedication firsthand. Katie established the bar with her work ethic and professionalism. Her genuine concern for the well-being of the community was first and foremost in all of her decisions.

Over the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the candidates. Wanting to hear our concerns, Katie approached her campaign with the curiosity and determination that made her a successful businesswoman. Her grassroots approach, going door to door, participating in meet and greets, creating and maintaining a website, as well as personally responding to all questions transcends political party stigma and, I believe, illustrates Kathryn Russell’s transparency as well as her commitment to Deep River.
