Part of That Direction

My name is John Henry, and I am running for a seat on the Zoning Commission in Old Saybrook this November. I have been an alternate for the past four years, and I would like to serve a permanent role on this important commission. Zoning regulations and the health and safety of our community are essential to all of us who live and work in Old Saybrook. I believe my engineering background provides the foundation to be effective in that role.

My wife and I moved to Old Saybrook in 2000, pre-retirement, because we found Old Saybrook had all the essentials for a good life and the conveniences we were looking for. It has been the best move we ever made. Our children and grandchildren have benefitted from the quality of life here on the shoreline. I see the Zoning Commission as one way to maintain that high standard and keep our town a desirable place to live. Zoning regulations are constantly changing to support our ever-changing needs and our environment, and I want to be part of that direction.

Beyond the Zoning Commission, I also volunteer at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, work at the Fenwick golf course, and support the Indiantown Beach Association. Please consider voting for me, a Republican candidate, to support our town.
