I am writing in full support of Ron Amara as First Selectman of Chester. I’ve known Ron all my life and can speak to his character and values. I would like to highlight his commitment to financial responsibility and accountability, as well as his dedication to supporting small businesses and a green environment.

Ron has been a resident of Chester since 1996, raising his three kids through the Regional 4 School system. His devotion to the town is unmatched. Ron enjoys supporting the local small businesses downtown; you’ve probably seen him with a salted baguette at Simon’s or getting dinner at the Pattaconk. He understands that these businesses are the backbone of Chester and has actively worked to create an environment that fosters their growth.

Professionally, Ron has a background in finance and accounting by trade. Fiscal responsibility is a core tenant to any local community’s success, and I can attest to Ron’s passion and integrity in maintaining financial accountability through a balanced and transparent budget.

Partisan rhetoric offers no advantage to the local taxpayer; what truly serves their best interests is sound, pragmatic decision-making. It reminds me of an adage by Voltaire that common sense is not so common. Ron Amara’s commitment lies in prioritizing the town’s well-being through common sense practices and experiences. His financial acumen, dedication to small businesses, and commitment to a green environment make him the ideal candidate to lead the community into a brighter future. I wholeheartedly endorse Ron and encourage you to support his candidacy in the upcoming election.
