A Prime Candidate

I am writing this letter of endorsement on behalf of my fellow Board of Education (BOE) member and chair, Seth Klaski. Seth’s multiple years of dedication to local and state board service have prepared him to continue his service here in Madison with solid experience. His education and work ethic also make him a prime candidate for the job of Board of Education chair.

Seth’s deep understanding of business and law helps inform the decision-making done at every meeting. Seth’s attendance at committee meetings is invaluable, and his contribution is respected by all members. Seth is dedicated to creating bully-free school communities in which children feel safe at school. Seth is dedicated to the continuation of social-emotional learning (SEL) across our curricula. Seth is truly invested in the Schools Renewal Plan, a cause to which he has dedicated many hours of work over the past decade.

Seth can take pride in the fact that he has led the charge as the Board of Education has delivered very moderate budgets, helping to hold the line on taxes while still supporting academic gains. Over the past six years, the BOE budget has had a tax impact of less than 2% on average. Seth intends to continue his solid relationships with administration, the Board of Selectmen, and the Board of Finance to continue this moderate budgeting trend while still meeting the highest standards for DHHS graduates.
