Track Record is Noteworthy and Apparent

With great pride and enthusiasm, I am writing to request your continued support for the re-election of the team consisting of Carl Fortuna, Scott Giegerich, and Barbara Labriola on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

My wife, Joanne, and I have been residents of Old Saybrook since 1993, and we hold a deep affection for this town. We frequently extol the virtues of Old Saybrook and proudly declare our association with it.

When conversing with friends from neighboring towns, we often make comparisons. It is safe to say that the quality of life in Old Saybrook, coupled with low taxes, is reminiscent of the MasterCard commercial tagline – "Priceless!"

This achievement is attributed to our visionary leader, Carl Fortuna. He has nurtured the skills and talents of the many volunteers who lead various boards and commissions. Our town employees are well-equipped to serve the townspeople graciously, effectively, and with extensive knowledge. Consequently, our town remains nothing short of praiseworthy and desirable.

In retrospect, we can point to numerous accomplishments, including but not limited to: the development of turf fields, a new track, tennis facilities, the construction of a modern Police Station, the preservation of natural areas, the addition of pickleball courts, the implementation of the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan, the installation of ball field lights, the expansion of sidewalks, and annual budgets that fund outstanding public education, robust public safety measures, and extensive parks and recreation offerings.

Our rainy-day fund has seen significant growth, from 7% to 17%, and we have proactively identified and funded long-term liabilities, all while continuing to plan for the future.

It's a clear choice. Old Saybrook is an exceptional place to call home.

With Proven Leadership Working for You, the candidates on the November 7 ballot, endorsed by the Republican Town Committee, will undoubtedly sustain Old Saybrook's greatness.

I urge you to cast your vote for me, Scott Giegerich, on Nov. 7, and I also encourage you to support our entire team. The track record of their accomplishments is noteworthy and apparent.
