Qualified, Community-Minded, Skilled

Bob Donahue is an outstanding candidate for Madison’s Board of Finance. As a vice president within the financial services industry, he managed a territory including Madison for more than 20 years. Additionally, Bob is a former chair of a municipal board of finance representing the minority political party. Beyond this important finance-related background, Bob has a long record of serving his community. As treasurer for numerous shoreline nonprofits, he offered tax filing, payroll processing, budget preparation, and grant writing. Since 1995, Bob has volunteered for, supported, and promoted numerous civic-related groups, including Madison Senior Services Commission, Madison Rotary Foundation, Hyland House Museum, Scranton Library, Madison Historical Society, Madison Lyric Stage, Madison Pride, Christ Episcopal Church, Madison Chamber of Commerce, Shoreline Arts Alliance, Chestnut Hill Concerts, Shoreline Arts Alliance, SARAH, GIV and the LGBT Caucus of the Connecticut Democratic Party.

I was fortunate to meet Bob in person recently and discovered that on top of these impressive qualifications, he is highly personable, listens intently, and has a deep interest in learning what is on another’s mind. These skills for bringing people with diverse ideas together are key to the BOF position and are more essential today than ever.

Madison is fortunate to have such a qualified, community-minded, and skilled person willing to serve our town government. I hope you will join me in voting for Bob Donahue for the Board of Finance on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
