Integrity, tenacity, transparency, and financial acumen are the attributes you get from First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons. Peggy has proven her ability to move forward on many Madison initiatives, and her record of accomplishments speaks for itself. Examples abound from the Madison School Renewal Plan and the sale of the Island Avenue School to the new town charter and the installation of a green energy system, just to name a few.

Peggy is a strategic and fiscally-minded leader. In addition to working hard to improve many facets of Madison’s infrastructure, she made sure the town facilitated a messaging platform to communicate with Madison residents on a regular and timely basis. As a leader with a financial industry background, Peggy leveraged her fiscal acumen and acquired $13 million in state and federal grants to help make Madison’s budget even stronger, as evidenced by its AAA bond rating.
