Experience, Vision, and Values

I’m writing to express my support for Kathryn (Katie) Russell, who is running for first selectwoman of Deep River. Katie possesses the experience, vision, and values to lead our town toward a more secure future.

Katie is demonstrating a commitment to the people of Deep River as she has spent countless hours going door to door, attending events, and most importantly, attending a number of town commission meetings, including the Board of Selectmen meetings, to learn about the needs of our town. She values community input and is dedicated to ensuring that the voices of all residents are heard and considered in the decision-making processes.

Katie brings a wealth of experience in leadership and problem-solving. She has a master’s degree in business and has worked in leadership roles throughout her lengthy career. Katie has strong communication skills and management skills to oversee town departments, budgets, and day-to-day operations. She understands fiscal responsibilities to create a responsible town budget.

It is essential to have a leader who understands the challenges a small town can face and one who can work toward solutions. Katie knows the worries of those on fixed income; she understands parents want good schools and safe playgrounds and sees the value small business brings to our town.

Katie has an open mind, she is non-judgmental, and she values the perspectives of others. Katie will tell you the truth. She can be firm and direct as she takes her responsibilities seriously. She will bring transparency to the town hall, which is a good indicator she will do what is right for Deep River. Learn more about Katie at russell4deepriver.com.

I encourage the residents of Deep River to join me in supporting Kathryn Russell in the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
