Will Be a Comfort

Carol Jones is an excellent candidate for first selectman. In addition to living, working, and raising four children in town, Carol represents the kind of work ethic a small town like Deep River is proud to promote. She's an honest and patient person who is experienced in the workings of a small town.

Changes take time to navigate, and since Carol has the local proven experience to work with people, she knows how to get the job done. In our small town, many jobs fall on a few people. When she sees a need, she jumps in tirelessly to do what's needed. She was our first leader for Deep River Sustainable CT, which led us to our first achievement of Bronze, featuring the town's attention to environment, diversity, equity and inclusion, the arts, and so much more. She has been a long-time director of Deep River Parks and Recreation, with wonderful events sprinkled throughout the year.

Her understanding of how things work in town will be invaluable to the people of DR as we go forward in a town where we take well-deserved pride in our successful schools, businesses, and environment. She understands regulations and can work effectively with people from all walks of life to make our town even better. Having Carol in the primary seat of first selectman will be a comfort we can all live with for a good long time to come.
