Will Be An Invaluable Asset

The challenges in our community are plentiful and significant. Local leaders like Judy Barron, who understand what is needed to continue great education in the Branford public schools, work tirelessly to face these challenges and make a difference in our town.

The impact public schools have on their communities is deep, wide, long, and powerful. When those well-educated children become adults, they contribute to their community in multiple ways over the course of their lifetimes, so the cycle of success continues if public schools are supported effectively. Public schools are the training ground for life, educationally and socially.

Vibrant communities are ones where more folks work together consistently to improve their public schools. When elected officials understand the unique and significant value of their public schools, they are more likely to use their leadership role to contribute to that value. Judy has already demonstrated that she puts the Branford Community as one of her highest priorities, with her role as Executive Director of the Community Dining Room and her exhaustive resume of volunteer efforts and community board positions.

As a parent and a voter, I understand the critical nature of electing leaders who recognize the value of their public schools in their community’s capacity to succeed. By choosing leaders who will engage with us in doing the good work needed to continue to keep the public school system strong, we are ensuring the future success and growth of our community.

I am in support of Judy Barron running for the Branford Board of Education. She is a well-educated, determined, energetic, and passionate individual who is in touch with the community. Judy has been a strong, results-oriented leader in this town for many years, and I know she will be an invaluable asset to the Branford Board of Education.
