Shouldn’t Continue to Be Allowed

Instead of trying to provide some sort of middle ground where the residents that surround the Stony Creek Brewery (SCB) can enjoy a level of peace inside their homes, The Sound and Ed Crowley take up a front page plus of The Sound and then a letter to the Editor. Maybe, instead, try to understand that these residences and the occupants have been here longer than SCB deserve to be heard.

In answer to some of the snide suggestions: a decibel meter, not an iPhone, was used to take measurements and also was stopped when a vehicle passed. Please do not condescend to those trying to enjoy the peace and quiet we deserve and have enjoyed for decades before your venue broke that for us. Please don’t. Just don’t. Tit for tat doesn’t solve the noise issue. It’s noise; it’s invading people’s homes and shouldn’t continue to be allowed. That’s the sad fact.

When people have loud gatherings at their homes, the Branford Police Department doesn’t sit outside and direct traffic; they visit and tell people to keep it down. The same should be happening with this ridiculous noise.
