Vote Row A

I have often wondered why individuals in our community step up to serve in office. Theoretically, they sign up to represent all of us or many of us. When Democrats Carrie Allen and Chris Passante ran two years ago, they knocked on doors and spoke to many people in town to hear the concerns of the voters. Downtown beautification ranked as the paramount concern for voters. While our downtown area serves as the very heartbeat of Clinton, housing our local businesses and encapsulating the essence of our community, we need to find ways to ensure that it continues to flourish and attract residents and visitors.

Over the past two years, these two Democrats have moved projects forward, such as the repurposing of the town-owned Pierson school. They have created and established a pollinator garden on the Indian River Bank, where there used to be trash and overgrowth. While some may question the significance of pollinators, this initiative exemplifies their commitment to the well-being and beauty of our community. These two representatives have taken consistent and thoughtful action proving that listening and hearing our voters is nothing compared to actions and results.

Hank Teskey, the newest Democrat on the Town Council, is deeply involved in the Economic Development Commission. He, too, along with Chairman John Allen, has been instrumental in seeing that grant money is used on projects to improve our downtown facade. These community leaders not only hear you but, more importantly, they take action. These individuals embody the essence of genuine representation and are the people I want to represent me.

Vote Row A in November. Your vote is your voice.
