A Noisier Future

Is there a contrivance that consumes more fossil fuel or generates more air and noise pollution than a commercial jet?

Yet, I have not heard a single representative at any government level openly oppose the Tweed New Haven Airport expansion.

The present scheduled commercial airline jets fly directly over my home in Branford at a low enough altitude during take-off and landing that the noise is startling and alarming. With Tweed's expansion and with more flights and larger jets, this will only get louder, more frequent, and affect a larger shoreline area.

I guess we should look forward to a warmer and noisier future.
