Instantly Lifts the Spirits

There are few plants that trumpet “welcome spring” as joyfully as daffodils. Seeing the muted greys and browns of winter punctuated with hosts of daffodils instantly lifts the spirits. There are now a dozen sites in Madison where The Garden Club of Madison has planted over 4,500 bulbs. A trail map linking the sites is available at Scranton Library, the Deacon John Graves garden, or the Visitor Center. You can also download the map from www.gcmct.org

As William Wordsworth memorably said, “And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.”
