Will Serve Guilford Extremely Well

As Guilford’s First Selectman, I know how critical it is to have smart, dedicated, and experienced partners in the General Assembly. We need dependable representatives to navigate and fight for our community. That is why I’m encouraging you to support the re-election of Senator Christine Cohen and the election of Moira Rader as our State Representative on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Working across the aisle, Senator Cohen has been a fierce advocate for Guilford and our state. She’s delivered millions in funding to our town, focused on coastal resilience, school maintenance, and infrastructure. Just this month, Christine secured a $500,000 grant for maintenance of the jewel of our historic town: the Henry Whitfield House. Chair of the Environment Committee, Christine has driven significant climate change initiatives that will benefit generations to come.

Christine, a champion of women’s reproductive rights, led the charge in Hartford protecting the right to choose in Connecticut. She is laser-focused on affordable, accessible health care, reducing the costs of prescription drugs, and expansion of mental health services.

Front and center in addressing our public safety needs, Christine has responded by successfully passing bipartisan laws banning ghost guns, requiring safe storage of weapons, and fully funding our police.

Moira Rader an established leader in town will be ready day one as our State Representative. As Vice-Chair of the Board of Education in 2021, she led an historic, bipartisan campaign to protect our schools as one of the top districts in the state. As a design professional, she’s a vocal advocate for small businesses, recognizing them as the backbone of our economy. Moira brings experience, commitment and drive and will make an excellent State Representative.

The team of Christine Cohen and Mora Rader will serve Guilford extremely well and have my vote!
