Is Part of Our Community

State Representative Devin Carney has been representing the 23rd District (Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook) since 2015. Devin Carney has grown up in our community, is part of or community, and understands exactly what is needed in this great 23rd District community. I consider Devin Carney the voice of reason when it come to standing up, standing with, and standing behind the decisions he makes when proposing, sponsoring, and voting on issues that benefit the 23rd District.

As a Registered Nurse and a retired Sergeant with the Connecticut State Police, I am proud to call Devin Carney a friend, a neighbor, and a colleague. First and foremost, Devin has been endorsed by the State Police Union which only a few individuals received. Devin adamantly opposes efforts to “defund the police” and supports efforts to recruit the best officers who continue to work hand in hand with the public in our communities.

Devin has co-sponsored bills to improve the handling of juvenile offenders to both protect the public, and provide assistance to get kids on the right track, and to address the uptick in catalytic converter theft.

During these tenuous times around the country and here at home, Devin supports victims' rights and wants to get violent offenders off of our streets. Devin even introduced legislation to add extra protections and legal avenues for women who are raped or sexually assaulted and he has supported extra protections for victims of domestic violence – both physical and emotional.

Devin Carney is committed to our 23rd District and you will find that he is approachable, hardworking, and always available during the many community meetings he has scheduled throughout his term.

Please join me in voting for him Tuesday, Nov. 8.
