Clear About His Positions

I write in support of Colin Heffernan for State Representative in the 23rd District. I know Colin to be a kind, compassionate, empathetic, and thoughtful man, as well as a wise, knowledgeable, and effective leader. Bordering Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River, our district includes many areas subject to the potential risks of a changing climate. We need a representative who will support changes that help us to adapt to a changing climate and rising waters. The rising tides are not the only threat to our future. If we are to thrive, we need a growing economy and access to an educated local workforce.

Colin Heffernan is clear about his positions and doesn’t use political speak to divert attention from questions that matter. Ask any business owner about how hard it is to find people to hire, and they’ll tell you a bigger labor pool would certainly help! If workers can’t afford to live here, they aren’t able to work here. Let’s support our teachers, daycare workers, police officers, delivery drivers, and all workers by electing someone who understands their need for an affordable place to live. Colin Heffernan knows and understands this issue and supports reform to actually solve the problem. I’ll be voting for Colin on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and I hope you will too.
