Will Stand Up

As a working mom, the current economic climate has me concerned. Inflation keeps going up, the market keeps going down, and the cost of everything is getting out of control. One only needs to go to Stop & Shop or Big Y to see how incredibly expensive things have gotten over the past two years. That's why we deserve a representative who is going to stand up against policies that will make these costs worse. The only person even mentioning the economy is our State Representative Devin Carney.

Devin is a financial professional and understands the economy. He has served on the Finance Committee, in leadership, for the past six years. He has actively worked to reduce energy costs, shipping costs, and taxes. He has introduced and/or supported bills to specifically reduce costs on retirees - particularly with property taxes, retirement plans, and health insurance.

In addition, he has always been there to support our kids and works to keep them safe. He has worked to introduce financial literacy into schools and has always - always - stood by our school resource officers even when powerful people like Chris Murphy wanted them gone.

These are the issues that matter to me as a woman, as a mother, and as a resident of the 23rd. Devin has my vote and I encourage you to also support him on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
