It’s About People

I'm writing to urge readers to support Chris Aniskovich for State Representative for House District 35 encompassing Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook. Chris makes his community a significant part of his campaign. His slogan “It's About People, Not Politics” takes this to heart. He has been a member of our shoreline community for almost 20 years and serves in many fulfilling roles such as President of Clinton Youth Football and a volunteer basketball and baseball coach.

As the current Chair of the Clinton Town Council, Chris has been at the forefront of issues that affect all of us such as rising inflation which has led to historically high gas prices, grocery prices, and so much more. Small businesses around the community have felt the burden of fiscally irresponsible policies, and Chris has a clear and realistic plan to fix it. His plan to combat inflation is simple because he supports responsible spending packages, tax cuts, and increased community investment which will propel our local economy, unlike what is currently coming out of Hartford.

Chris also realizes that rising crime is another important issue facing our community. The rise of stolen cars and break-ins has been prevalent across all three towns and Chris hopes to fix this problem by supporting our local police and pledges to give them the resources they need to lower crime rates.

I wholeheartedly endorse Chris Aniskovich to be our state representative. For the past two years, our community has not been properly represented in Hartford. I hope that you will all join me in voting for Chris on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
