A Leader and Driving Force

Norm Needleman has been a leader and driving force in the Democratic caucus. The 33rd state Senate District has been well represented by him.

Norm has proven his ability to work within his caucus and to work with members of the Republican opposition. If you have had the opportunity to view his accomplishments during the past four years, I think you would agree.

As Chairman of the Energy and Technology Committee, he worked diligently to have utility costs lowered for Connecticut consumers. Electric bills will decline about $10 per month for the average user due to his efforts. Serving as first selectmen for the town of Essex, Norm has a keen knowledge of how local government works. This is a benefit to each of us when it comes to many of the subtle issues towns have to deal with on a regular basis.

Perhaps more importantly, as a business owner, he knows that a positive relationship between the business community and Connecticut's labor force is essential to a prosperous and productive Connecticut. He has shown this by his many votes supporting Connecticut labor groups.

Norm also recognizes and supports the needs of the many businesses in our state which provide jobs that keep us moving in a positive direction in difficult economic times. The respect he has in both the state Senate and state House of Representatives is only equal to the support he receives from his constituents. A vote for Norm will help keep Connecticut moving forward. Return Norm to the state Senate by voting for him on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
