He’s For Us

As the Tax Collector for Westbrook, I often hear about people and small businesses being squeezed for money – especially more recently with inflation and the cost of goods and services rising. It is important that we have people representing us in Hartford who will do everything they can to curb high costs, reduce taxes, and allow people some breathing room. Fortunately, we have Devin Carney representing Westbrook at the Capitol.

Devin understands how state mandates can negatively affect our property taxes and quality of life here. He opposed a statewide property tax, he opposes state mandates on our towns, and he opposed giving property tax breaks to cities with a history of corruption that will be funded by our residents. Unless we have voices pushing against the tax-and-spend mentality of the majority, then costs will continue to rise.

I wholeheartedly endorse Devin Carney for re-election and encourage folks in Westbrook and Old Saybrook to do the same. He has the institutional knowledge of the district that residents deserve. He understands our local economy and understands that we cannot continue down the road of high taxes and high costs. He's for us.
